1. Fundraising for migrant children
We are a team of Social Entrepreneurship students working to improve educational opportunities for poor migrant children in China. This project is developed from a class project (Class number: SOCW 321) in School of Social Work, UIUC. We have partnered with students from China Agricultural University, who identified a Beijing migrant school and conducted a needs assessment to prioritize educational and resource needs for the 1,400 young children there.
Our job is to raise money to buy at least 10 CD players ($45 each), 27 triangular edges ($3.75 each), 6 table tennis nets ($4.50 each), and 20 amplifiers ($20 each).
HOW YOU CAN HELP: Please help us toward our goal of raising the nearly $1,000 needed to help these children. You can donate through our online fundraising site shown immediately below.
