Assistant Engineer (Part-time for 6 mos.)
Cbana Labs, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and skilled part-time engineer to specialize in testing the company’s micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) chips to join our team. This exciting position offers competitive pay and a challenging work environment. The ability to work in a self-directed manner to set up experiments to measure output and performance of the Cbana’s micro-Gas Chromatograph (micro-GC) components and systems is essential. Other key attributes of this position include: •
Ability to clearly communicate scientific results in the form of written reports and slide presentations; •
Ability to multi-task on various testing setups simultaneously; •
Ability to problem-solve by accessing a variety of internal and external resources; •
Willingness to work as part of a professional team; and •
Ability to perform under tight deadlines.
An undergraduate senior in Mechanical, Electrical or Material science/engineering field is required. Experience in testing or working on MEMS devices is preferred. Knowledge of Gas Chromatograph is also a plus but not required. The position is immediately available starting 1/17/14 and will be filled as soon as we find the candidate with the right expertise and motivation. The hired employee can work up to 25 hours/week.
