Dear friends: CAACI has been organizing the Chinese New Year Party for the past 20+ years. Last year’s party has 300 participants including UIUC Chancellor Phyllis Wise.
In addition to a Chinese New Year Banquet, the Party also features a Chinese culture showcase including: singing, dancing, fashion, lucky-money give away for children, and many others. The showcase lasts about 2 hours. You will get to meet many of the UIUC faculty and have the opportunity to ask them for questions that are of interest to you. Especially those related to jobs and Visa. Among our quests this year is the Assistant Vice Chancellor Shane T. Carlin who will make a brief remark regarding UIUC International Students. This is the Year of the serpent in the Chinese Zodiac cycle, and the Party will be held:
