To clear up some confusions about faculty/postdoc's dental insurance, I would like to give a brief explanation.
The dental insurance has changes a few times in the past 5 years. I think that is the only thing, which is getting better.
carrier: delta dental
annual limit: $2500
deductible: $175 (it has increased a few times, from $100, to $125, to $150)
coverage: almost everything is %100 after deductible
This changes happened 2 years back, it used to be a high copay for everything...
also you have to find delta dental network provider to get the full benefits. otherwise, your copay is very high too since the delta dental fee schedule is very low. if you have any questions. please call my office to get the details.
