JOB DESCRIPTION HTG Capital Partners, LLC is a Chicago-based proprietary trading firm that trades futures, options, US government securities, foreign exchange and various OTC markets. The main responsibilities of this position include: (1) collaborating with experienced developers to build and maintain a proprietary ultra-low latency trading platform which trades across asset classes and on exchanges worldwide; (2) develop tools to facilitate trading, research, collaboration, etc.. Specific tasks include: Optimize software code to achieve greater efficiency and lower latency Fine tune hardware, operating system and network configurations to achieve optimal performance Research and integrate new technologies into trading infrastructure Enhance existing trading and research tools and create new ones Create tools, methods and environment to facilitate collaboration and remote communications.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Exceptional C++ programming skills in a Linux environment Familiar with C#, Java and Python Expert knowledge of designing multi-threaded applications Strong analytical and problem solving skills Good collaborative spirit Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or its equivalent
