It is a great opportunity for Chicago Chinese Community to work together with the Mainstream American Society to promote friendship between U.S. and China. With the help from the organizer of International Chicago Table Tennis Festival 2012 ( http://www.killerspin.com/tabletennisfestival/ ), we are pleased to have two Olympic Ping Pong Champions to attend the Chinese Flag Raising Ceremony on Sept 27 at noon in Daley Plaza.
Please join us to listen to the national anthems and watch the national flags of both U.S. and China. We can all contribute to the efforts of People's Diplomacy to strengthen the connection between U.S. and China.

为庆祝中华人民共和国成立63周年，大芝加哥地区华侨华人联合会将联合华人社 区各社团，在芝加哥市中心戴利广场隆重举办中国国旗升旗仪式。这是由芝加哥华侨华人发起的宣传中国文化，提高华人地位；面向主流 社会，促进中美友谊的重要活动。今年是中美乒乓外交41周年和尼克松访华40周年。华联会将与主流社会合作促进中美友谊，邀 请奥运乒乓冠军参加升旗典礼活动。敬邀各社团侨领和各界人士积极参加。

Chinese American Association of Greater Chicago (CAAGC) is working together with many associations on the Chinese Flag Raising Ceremony to celebrate the 63rd Anniversary of the People’s Republic ofChina. This year is also the 41st Anniversary of Ping Pong Diplomacy and 40th Anniversary of Nixon's visit to China, two important mile stones in US-China Friendship. In addition to showcase colorful and peaceful cultural tradition of China, we will also celebrate the progress of friendship between U.S. andChina in the Chinese Flag Raising Ceremony.
