第一届香槟华人厨艺大赛

拿出你的祖传技艺,展示你的料理创意!

无论菜系,独尊厨艺,

“香槟食神”非你莫属!


活动目的

为丰富同学和朋友们的课余生活,提高大家对厨艺这一居家旅行、出国留学的重要技艺的掌握,CSSA特举办第一届香槟华人厨艺大赛。我们希望通过这次比赛,提高大家对做饭的热情,告别盒饭,自己动手,丰衣足食。并且,通过和同伴共同合作完成菜品的机会加深感情。同时,也希望借比赛的平台,让对菜品有爱好的朋友们交流菜品心得,给想要学习菜品技术的朋友们提供和菜品达人交流的机会,给世界各地的朋友们品尝中国不同地方特色美食的机会。


参赛对象

UIUC全体学生及家属,鼓励UIUC在校学生主厨。


比赛时间及地点

初赛:11月6日(星期日)下午3点,AACC举行。

决赛:待定

填写《第一届香槟华人厨艺大赛报名表》。比赛拟以1-3人为一组。建议大家通过朋友、同学、室友、亲属、情侣等方式组队。如对比赛相关问题存在疑问,请咨询cssagraduate@gmail.com

  



比赛过程

初赛:

由选手将提前做好菜品在保温盒中储存带到比赛现场,可利用在比赛现场将菜品通过微波炉加热和其他简单处理。选手在评委品尝菜品时对菜品的制作过程进行讲解,并接受评委点评提问。在评委评分结束后,选手可将参赛菜品带到选手交流区,与其他参赛选手互相品尝彼此的菜肴,交流做菜感受,增进同好友谊。评委当场进行评分,由记分员将评分表录入电脑,当场计算每组参赛队的总成绩,当场公布入围决赛队伍名单。

决赛:

经过初赛的筛选,选出决赛参赛队,现场制作菜品。选手在登记注册后,前往预定的比赛场地,通过和同组成员的互相配合,在规定的时间(最多不能超过30分钟)内,加工完成1道自选菜。菜品完成速度将不作为评分标准,但希望选手能尽可能把握菜品制作时间。在评委评分全部结束之后,由记分员将评分表录入电脑,当场计算每组参赛队的总成绩,当场公布成绩并颁发证书及奖品。


参赛菜品及操作要求

a) 初赛菜品和决赛菜品主料成本由选手自行决定,初赛菜品成本由选手自行承担,决赛菜品成本将由CSSA进行一定数额的补贴,食材的奢侈程度将不作为评判的参考要素,鼓励各队从菜品美味程度、菜品卖相、菜品技术、菜品营养健康均衡程度、菜品创意程度等要素出发,准备菜品;

b) 每道菜品应为选手独立完成,不能使用超市等地方过度预加工过的食材或已经做好的速冻食品,如发现类似情况,将由举办方进行裁定,酌情予以扣分;

c) 参赛菜要符合卫生要求,卤菜、改刀菜等不宜参赛;

d)参赛作品应尽可能具备菜品美味程度、菜品卖相、菜品技术、菜品营养健康均衡程度、菜品创意程度的要素,这些要素将作为评委评分的标准。


奖项设置

本次香槟厨艺大赛设置以下奖项:

1.冠军(食神奖)、亚军、季军

2.最美味奖

3.最具卖相奖

4.做菜达人奖

5.健康美食奖

6.最具创意奖

7.最具人气奖


奖项及奖品

1.
食神奖为最大奖项颁发“香槟食神”奖杯,并颁发奖状。

2.
前三名颁发奖品及奖状。

冠军(食神奖)奖品为:价值600美元的全套不锈钢厨具

亚军奖品为:价值120美元的纯木书架

季军奖品为:价值100美元的多功能榨汁机

3. 单项奖分别颁发奖状和纪念品。

4. 获奖的参赛组成员共同领取一份奖品,每位成员均有纪念证书。

The First Champaign Cuisine Contest

Time to show your defined, unique and creative cooking skills.
If you have the passion in cooking, come sign up for this cuisine contests.
There's no limit in cooking at all in this contest.
You may be the Chef of Champaign


Purpose
Cooking should be on your must-have skills list in college. Now that you are independent college students, you should be able to cook for yourself, at least, instead of relying of deliveries. Hereby, you can invite friends and family to the contest. At the same time, this is a good platform of meeting new people from the Champaign-Urbana community, sharing recipes and learning from others. It's also a great opportunity to show some "real homemade" food.


Participants
The contest is open to ALL UIUC students and their family members.

preliminary contest: 3 PM, Sunday Nov. 6 in AACC
Final contest: To be announced

Participants can either compete as individuals or as groups of 2 to 3 people. We encourage participants to join as groups for more cooperations.

About the Contest



Preliminary contest:
Participants shall bring your cuisine within containers to AACC on the date. AACC has certain appliances that may warm up your dish and allow some simple cooking. Do not expect to cook in AACC though.
Participants shall give a brief introduction on cuisine's ingredients, cooking process and taste and be able to explain to the judges if any questions or concerns exist.
After judges score, participants may bring the cuisine to the lobby where other participants are to share. Not only the dish to be shared but also anything else of cooking and new friends.


At the end of the contest, the finalists will be notified to move on to the final contest.


Final Contest:
Finalists are selected after the eliminations from Preliminary contest.
Finalist at this stage, in order to win, need to cook at the contest location with group members, if had one.
Time is limited, approximately 30 minutes. No limitations are on the dish. Speed, in terms of time, will not be part of the scores. Scores and winners will be notified at the end of the contest and prizes will be given out.


Cuisine Requirements:
a) Cuisines in both preliminary and final contests are decided by participants. CSSA will give certain compensation on ingredients for the finalists, but not for the preliminary contest participants. Ingredients will not be graded and be part of the scores. We encourage participants to consider cuisine's unique taste, appearance, skills, nutritions and creativity.
b) Cuisine should independently prepared by participants. No pre-made food, frozen food or pre-prepared food from any supermarkets are allowed. If found, judges will take points off.
c) Cuisines should meet sanitary requirements
d) Scores criteria will be base on cuisine's taste, appearance, skills, nutrition, creativity, etc.

Compliments and souvenirs:
a) A trophy will be given to the First Prize winner (or the group) with a $600 worth stainless steer kitchenware.
b) Second prize winner (or the group) will be given a $120 worth wooden bookshelf
c) Third prize will give given a $100 worth multipurpose juice extractor
d) Other individual prizes will be given certain souvenirs
5) All prize winners will receive certificates.
