Be one of us
In the recent years, CSSA-UIUC has largely affected the community. At the same time aiming to serve the local Chinese community, we also work hard to keep our interaction and communication dynamic. Each event held in the past had included our efforts, as an outstanding team. This is a stage for you to improve your leadership, develop your teamwork skills and train yourself with challenges where you will keenly serve our community and make it better.
In the new semester, CSSA-UIUC is looking forward to having you in participation in our teams and events. For your interest, send us your application and resume to hr.cssa.uiuc@gmail.com before August 25, 2011. We will arrange interviews at the end of August.

CSSA-UIUC this summer, same as last year, will offer rides to the freshmen beyond their arrivals. We are looking for more volunteers to help us out. This brings convenience to the new students. 前几日在Market Place发生了枪击事件，希望在校的华人们能够注意出行安全！
临近暑期，在sublease您房子的同时请谨防租房诈骗，已经有好几名受害者损失了几千元！

4. 舞蹈团召集
洪悦，是 UIUC 本科三年级学生，major in Communication and Journalism,
“我一直想创办一个舞蹈团（舞蹈队），问过身边很多朋友，很多同学都表示有兴趣。我想创办的这个舞团主要是排练一些舞剧，包括现代舞，民族舞，集体舞，商业舞等各种形式的舞蹈，有机会可以参加一些演出等等。我个人有多年的舞蹈和舞蹈编排经验，也在其它州组织过一些演出。来到UIUC后，没有找到这样一个团体，故有此计划。
由于我的networking覆盖不到UIUC所有的华人学生，我希望通过CSSA的newletter使更多的同学，男生，女生都能得到这个消息，从而使舞团的组建速度提高，人选方面也得到更多的机会，以提高舞团的专业品质。”

Interested in Dancing?
Yue Hong, a junior in UIUC with a Communication and Journalism major.
"I have always wanted to form a dance team. I asked many friends who are interested. The dance team I am looking forward to being formed includes dance drama that are modern dance, folk dance, group dance, commerce dance, etc. We also may have the opportunities for some public performance. I have years of experience in dancing and performance rehearse. I also have organized a few performances in other states. I plan to form a dance team in UIUC since there's no such a team yet.
Due to my limited networking to the majority on campus, through CSSA newsletter, I hope to know more of you. I am looking forward to form our team as soon as possible. 5. The 2nd Annual Chicago Biotech-Pharma International Symposium
The Association of American-Chinese Scientists and Engineers (ACSE) and Yaoyuan (Pharma Open Source) will be hosting the 2nd Annual Chicago Biotech-Pharma International Symposium on May 8 at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center (1551 Thoreau Drive North, Schaumburg, IL 60173). The theme of this symposium is "Evolving Trends in Pharmaceutical Innovation and Impact to Emerging Markets”, emphasizing the latest life science innovations applicable to drug research and development, as well as novel business models for the ever changing pharmaceutical environment. Prominent speakers from both the US and China, along with information-rich exhibits and job fairs, will fill the agenda.
