I have a friend working at this financial services/research company, and was told about their urgent need for an IT analyst with strong SQL and database experiences. It's a full time position at a nice location in greater Chicago area (half an hour's ride west of Chicago, and in my opinion, Naperville is among the best suburban areas around Chicago);
They are looking for undergrad and master candidates, Ph.D.s are welcome but may be over-qualified. One thing of utter importance for the job is, again, STRONG skills in SQL and database experiences. You donot have to be a CS major if you think you are qualified. Also, they are in an urgent state, so anyone who's deemed qualified will get a quick offer.

Position: IT Technology Analyst-Database Summary
Database development and administration. This position reports to Managing Director, IT. Principal Responsibilities - Develop and maintain SQL Server 2000/2005 database applications.
- Database design and implementation including off-hours support for production related applications
- Ability to efficiently perform independently and in a team environment as well as balance multiple project deadlines simultaneously.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - SQL Server 2000/2005
- T-SQL, VBScript, DTS
- Index tuning and performance monitoring
- Database backup and recovery operations
- Finance background is a plus, but not required
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor Degree in Computer Sciences or Related Areas
