Job Description: SDM RSM (Service Oriented Computing)
The IBM Almaden Research Center has an opening for a Research Staff Member. The area of focus is Complex Services Modeling with innovations in advanced financial modeling, business intelligence and business analytics.
Candidates must possess in-depth problem solving skills with the ability to analyze and devise algorithms as well as the ability to architect and prototype new solutions. A background in data and information mining, finance and operations research are highly relevant. Inventions and publications are expected. This position also requires communication, leadership, and customer facing skills. Candidates must be self-starters and will be working in a highly dynamic environment. Highly desired are design and implementation experience in Java (preferably eclipse RCP), J2EE, and WebSphere/DB2.
