Chinese Translators
The Wolfram|Alpha Localization group is seeking temporary full- and part-time Chinese language experts to translate technical and non-technical content between English and Traditional and/or Simplified Chinese.
Responsibilities:
• Translate technical and non-technical content between English and
Traditional and/or Simplified Chinese
• Work in cooperation with other translators to ensure language and
glossary consistency
• Research information to substantiate revisions and corrections
• Respond to questions concerning grammar and punctuation
• Collaborate with developers and testers to ensure the accuracy of
the translation
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher,; college students are also welcome
• Must be a native speaker of Chinese, and have excellent grammar
and spelling in English and Chinese
• Good understanding of localization and linguistic issues
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including but
not limited to the ability to be clear and concise when explaining suggestions
and revisions
• Ability to produce high-quality results on a tight deadline
• Must be a good team player with the ability to work independently
with minimal supervision
• Exceptional organizational and planning skills, including the ability to
establish priorities and objectives, are a plus
