Cbana Labs, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Chemist (full time/part time) to specialize in gas chromatography to join our team. This exciting position offers competitive pay and a challenging work environment. The ability to work in a self-directed manner to set up experiments to measure output and performance of the Cbana’s micro-GC components and systems is essential. Other key attributes of this position include:
• Ability to clearly communicate scientific results in the form of written reports and slide presentations;
• Ability to multi-task on several different projects simultaneously;
• Ability to problem-solve by accessing a variety of internal and external resources;
• Willingness to work as part of a professional team; and
• Ability to perform under tight deadlines.
A BS or MS in Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field is required. One to three years of prior experience with laboratory instruments and chromatographs is essential. Knowledge of stationary phases is strongly preferred. About Cbana Labs, Inc.: Cbana is developing integrated micro-gas chromatograph (microGC) analyzers to transform how gases are sensed and measured. MicroGCs have many uses including air quality monitoring, detection of pollutants or contaminants, and CWA or explosives detection. Our microGC can sense a wide number of species in air and other gases with unprecedented speed, sensitivity, and precision. We have developed MEMS-based microvalves that operate in microseconds at high pressures, micropumps, micro-preconcentrators with high selectivity and gain, special molecular absorbents, columns with high separation resolution and highly specific and sensitive detectors.
